Daisy Hill Intro

I can't wait to introduce you all to Daisy Hill Conservation Park! Nestled in between the Gold Coast and Brisbane Australia, this reserve is  made up of a many different ecosystems. Living among the eucalypt forest, melaleuca wetland and creeks is a diverse amount of biota. The glossy black-cockatoo, the tusked frog and even the koala have two things in common - they call this park home and are all listed on Southeast Queensland's threatened animal list.  The koala's (and their habitat) are protected here by Queensland's Nature Conservation Act 1992 and even have a dedicated centre with interactive displays. Along with visiting the Daisy Hill Koala Centre, visitors can enjoy a number of recreational activities such as bush-walking, mountain biking and horse riding. With such a busy area, sustainable recreation and nature preservation must go hand in hand.

I have chosen this area to explore because of it's diverse background. With so many different types of habitat and in the changing world we live in, there will always be new obstacles to undergo in order to preserve precious areas of land such as Daisy Hill Conservation Park.
